Due to extreme high temperatures, Wheatland Electric will be postponing scheduled disconnections for non-pay accounts on Wednesday, July 17th and Thursday, July 18th. Wheatland will resume disconnections for non-pay the week of July 22-26 when temperatures are forecasted to be lower.
To avoid disconnection of your service please pay your required past due delinquent amount. If you have any questions on your balance, please contact your local Wheatland Electric office
If you fail to pay the required past due delinquent amount, the following will apply if your service is disconnected per Wheatland's Rules and Regulations for disconnection of service:

Failure to pay the past due delinquent amount will subject your account to disconnections. All balances, reconnect fees and service fees will be due in FULL prior to reconnection of your service. Cash, Money Order, or Debit/Credit Card are the only accepted payment methods when service is disconnected for non-payment. If your account is disconnected for non-payment, the following charges will apply:

During office hours (8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST): $50.00
After hours: $200.00
ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT IF APPLICABLE WILL BE APPLIED - If service has been disconnected for non-pay, and additional deposit will be added for poor credit to the required amount of $400.00 or two (2) times the highest last twelve (12) months bill at the this service location, whichever is largest.
Wheatland also offers a Pre-pay program option. No deposit, no late fees, no due date, no monthly statement. You choose when and how much electricity to purchase. Please contact your local office for more information on this program and to verify if your account is eligible.
