The annual Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC) Forum was held in New York City, from July 1 - 3.  The conference focuses on issues and challenges facing the electric and cooperative network.

Bruce Mueller, Wheatland General Manager, presented at a session on Service Territory Protection.  He was joined by Mark Snowden - CEO of Cimarron Electric Cooperative in Oklahoma, and Moderator Chris Meyers - CEO of Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives.

In March 2018, Sub Senate Bill 323 became law.  Says Mueller, "This was truly a team effort from cooperatives across the state.  A tremendous amount of work went into securing needed revisions for the service territory law."

The new service territory legislation will allow for improved negotiating environments for discussions arising from municipal negotiations.
