Payment Options

Wheatland Electric's Payment Options and Locations

The following are the authorized bill payment options available to Wheatland Electric members. There is no fee for use of any authorized option.

Payments by cash, money order, personal check, certified check, bank draft or credit/debit cards will be accepted. All payments must be in a Wheatland Electric Office before 5 p.m. Central Time on the Delinquent After Date printed on your bill to avoid late payment penalties.

Pay by mail: Enclose your bill payment stub and a check or money order and mail in the envelope provided with your bill. Please allow three to five days for delivery.

Payments in person: Pay your bill at any of our offices or authorized agents below:

Use your credit/debit card or your checking account to pay your electric bill at your convenience, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Pay-By-Phone is the newest of the many options members have for paying their electric bill. To get started you’ll need your account number-it’s located in the upper right hand corner of your bill.

Prepay Power:  Members, whether new or existing, must complete a Wheatland Prepay Power Program AgreementYou purchase electricity before you use it. Make payments when you want to, online, by phone, or in person at your local Wheatland office. When your account runs low, you will receive a notice by text or email, letting you know it is time to recharge your account. If funds in your account run out, electrical service will be automatically terminated. You will be notified by text or email that your service has been terminated. You can recharge your account at any time, day or night, online, or by phone, and service will be automatically restored. 

Pay online with SmartHub:  Use your credit/debit card or your checking account to pay your bill online with SmartHub. Click here and follow the onscreen instructions for signing up for the service if you have not already done so.  Please have a copy of your most recent electric or internet bill available to make the transaction as smooth as possible. 

Drop box: Deposit your payment, including payment stub and check or money order in the payment drop box at any of the locations listed above or at Scott City Hall, 221 West 5th in Scott City. Payments made in off-premise drop boxes may require up to three business days to be posted to your account. If you are making a payment within three days of a due date please take the payment to your local office to avoid late payment penalties.

Budget Billing: Wheatland Electric also offers budget billing for those members who prefer to pay the same amount each month.  Payments are set at your monthly average, making it easy to budget.  An accurate 12-month history of your use at your current residence is helpful in determining payments.  If you are interested, please call your local Wheatland Electric office to see if you qualifiy.

To apply for budget billing please fill out the Budget Billing Application and return to your local Wheatland Electric Office.

All other payment options are considered "unauthorized pay agents." Unauthorized pay agents have no contractual requirement with Wheatland Electric.
